Amid mounting pressure from Microsoft, Google has quietly made a significant move. The beta version of Bard, its chatbot designed to compete with ChatGPT, has just been officially released, and you only need to wait a few hours in line to gain access.
What is Bard?
Bard is an experiment that allows you to collaborate with generative AI. As a creative and helpful collaborator, Bard can ignite your imagination and enhance your productivity.
How to Apply for Access to Bard’s Beta Testing?
1. Application Requirements:
- A Personal Google Account Managed by You: You cannot use a Google account managed by parents, guardians, or Google Workspace administrators.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Supported Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Edgium.
2. Join the Waitlist:
- Access Bard’s application page: https://bard.google.com.
- Choose to join the waitlist by clicking Join waitlist.
- If prompted, log in to your personal Google account.
- Select “Yes, I’m in.” You will be added to the waitlist, and you will receive an email notification when you gain access to Bard.
Once you’ve successfully applied for the trial, please note that communication is currently only available in English and cannot be conducted in Chinese. Just wait a few hours for Google to review your application, and you should be able to use it.
